UTZ CERTIFICATE
Utz Kapeh is one of the leading coffee certification programs on the international market. It was founded in 1997 by Guatemalan coffee producers and a European roaster, Ahold Coffee Company, with the aim of rewarding roasters and brands to meet the growing demand for coffees that guarantee responsible production.
Utz Kapeh encompasses appropriate agricultural practices for coffee production and the well-being of workers, including access to health and education. It emphasizes responsible production rather than sustainable agriculture.
